Exploring Faux Silk Carpets
As we continue to share news about specific ranges we thought we would feature a style of carpet rather than one range this time.
Faux Silk is the descriptor for high end, luxury carpets that have the feel of real silk but are manufactured from viscose/nylon. The carpets are incredibly soft underfoot which makes them very popular in domestic homes.
Key Features of Faux Silk:
- Stain Resistant – while no carpet is entirely stain resistant, the resistance properties of faux silk makes this type of carpet a good choice even in highly trafficked areas
- High Sheen – the fibres on faux silk carpets tend to have a high sheen adding a touch of high end glamour
- Durability – most are suitable for any room in a domestic setting, and often commercial settings too, but please do check with us if you’re unsure
- Easy Maintenance – easy to vacuum to retain appearance
- Moth Resistant
- Lower tog rating – making them ideal for use with underfloor heating
- Varied colour palette – whilst we offer our usual soft natural colours, darker greys to black are also available
