Our new eco-friendly carpet range
Following the huge success of Maribella, our eco-friendly carpet launched last year, we are delighted to introduce you to Oceania.
What makes it eco-friendly?
Oceania is made from ECONYL® a yarn manufactured from abandoned fishing nets, scraps from mills and carpets destined for landfill sites.
We love the Healthy Seas story. The charity is dedicated to improving the lives of all marine creatures by retrieving fishing nets and tackle that have been abandoned in the World’s oceans. It is estimated that over 640,000 tons of fishing gear is abandoned every year across the globe. As a consequence, millions of marine animals are injured or killed. Healthy Seas have retrieved over 585 tons of waste since their inception in 2013.

Knowing we are making a valuable contribution to the environment, whilst still offering you a premium velvet pile carpet that your clients will love is a huge tick for us. We know this is a cause very close to the hearts of many interior designers too.
Same great credentials:
Oceania shares many of the same fantastic specifications as Maribella:
- Hard wearing – ideal for heavy traffic in domestic settings including stairs, and for individual rooms in commercial premises
- Stain resistant
- IUV resistant – no fading in sunlight
- Bleach resistant – 1/10 mix of household bleach to water
- Moth resistant
- Available in 4m and 5m widths
- Same contemporary neutral colour palette
The big difference is that Oceania is even thicker and more luxurious – due to the increase pile depth – 10mm in total. As a result, the tog rating is a little higher than Maribella – 1.15 – but it is still low enough to be suitable for underfloor heating, with our recommended underlay.
As partners of the Healthy Seas charity, 2.5% of the order value for all Oceania carpets is donated to Healthy Seas, to support the fantastic work they do.
